Therapy is work. There is nothing passive about therapy. You will need to be engaged, set your own goals and participate in the solution. People often avoid therapy for just this reason. It can be emotional exhausting but it also can be very liberating. Therapy with Life Calls is working towards the goals that you identify to improve your life.


What therapy is not…

Therapy is not magic - Therapy can help but it cannot work in a vacuum, and it won’t work overnight. To make therapy successful, you will need to commit your time and patience to your goals. The progress is at the pace each person needs to move. That can’t be determined ahead of time.


How we use therapy…

Therapy is a tool - just like medication is only a tool. Therapy will need to be a unique approach to your particular needs and goals. It is important that you are comfortable with the therapist and the approach taken to accomplish your goals. Therapy will be one piece of your solution-centered approach to better engage in life. We will start with an introductory meeting to make sure that this is where you need to be.
